Awesome
Love the place! And there is no "Filter" on the internet now anyway. The internet is kinda slow at times - but other than that it works very well. The place is very clean and retro. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. And this place has tons of character!
What happens in vegas does not happen at the Thunderbird Inn.
Family freindly internet filter. The management here decides what you can see online. You would think the hippest hotel in town wouldn't do that. If only their ads mentioned "family friendly", then I wouldn't be stuck here.
One Night in Savannah
Liked most things about this funky little Inn and found it warmer than chain motels in this price range. The beds were comfortable. Wished the check in clerk was as friendly as the check out clerk. Maint. guy was very friendly and helpful. Also we got an overwhelming smell of urine as we entered our room.
Stay away!
This place is terrible and if I could give it zero stars I would. The rooms are nasty, it's not in the safest part of town, and the list goes on. Pick another place and stay far from here.
The Yuck Factor!
Upon arrival I was initially pleased with the charming and funny desk guy who upgraded me to a nice king suite. When my room was not cleaned on the 2nd day I went to the laundry room to get clean towels and I noticed that a young woman was pouring the contents of half empty bottles of soap into other half empty bottles which were the same kind of soap shampoo and conditioner containers that were in my room. I asked what she was doing and she told me that the manager Mark Thomas instructed her to re-use all the amenities that were left by previous guests and that although she found this practice repugnant she would be fired if she did not comply. She handed me fresh towels and I returned to my room and threw out all the soap bottles and drove to a nearby CVS store to buy new personal items. Needles to say this unhygienic practice is repulsive and a huge health risk and the reason why I would never stay at this hotel again.
